Feng Yan 40th Annual Lorne Genome Conference 2019

Feng Yan

Feng Yan received his PhD from the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases at Monash University in 2022 and was supervised by Professor David Curtis, Dr. Nick Wong, and Associate Professor David Powell. His PhD studies focused on exploring the epigenetic alterations that occur in leukemic stem cells during leukemogenesis, using multi-omics data including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN, and bisulfite sequencing. In 2021, Feng was awarded the Monash Bridging Postdoctoral Fellowship and is currently supported by a highly competitive Cancer Council Victoria Postdoctoral Fellowship to focus on the epigenetic mechanism of chemo-resistance in leukemic stem cells. In October 2022, Feng joined Davidson's lab at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) where he is using long-read sequencing to decipher abnormal cancer transcriptomes at the isoform level.
