Maria I Bergamasco

Born in the UK. Lived in Italy and the UK before moved to Australia at age 10. Completed a Bachelor of Science (Hon) at Melbourne University in 2015. Completed PhD in 2020 at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute in the lab of Prof Anne Voss and A/Prof Tim Thomas, studying the roles of a histone acetyltransferase gene, KAT6B, in the developing brain and in stem cell populations.
